The Institute of Education, University of London is a world class research and teaching institution. Their distinguished history and current mission are rooted in a commitment to social justice. We worked in partnership with the IOE to design and deliver The Excellence in Literacy Quality Mark; it aims to help schools improve the quality of literacy provision and literacy outcomes for all children. The interactive self-evaluation framework seeks to be responsive to the character and individuality of schools in different contexts, whilst illustrating aspects of practice which successful schools have in common.
